Michael Finecey, MAPC, LPC, LISAC Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor Michael is the co-founder and Clinical Director of North Pointe Counseling Center. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering and Technologies. Mike also holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Trauma, Abuse and Deprivation. Mike is a co-author of Breaking Free... a Journey, a 20-hour intensive workshop which focuses on healing from traumatic life events. Breaking Free is offered monthly (see Our Workshops). Mike’s practice provides directive, insight-oriented therapy for individuals, couples, and groups recovering from trauma, abusive relationships, anxiety and depression, addictive behaviors, and grief and loss. He also provides therapy for adult children of alcoholics, and those struggling with shame and significant identity issues. Mike enjoys providing specialized services in partnerships with several nonprofit and independent agencies throughout the Valley of the Sun including The Casa Renewal and Retreat Center, Calvary Center, and Mending the Soul Ministries. Prior to founding North Pointe Counseling Center, Mike worked as a therapist at Calvary Center, a faith-based residential treatment center for substance abuse and problem gambling. He also has 28 years' experience associated with corporate team building, business management, and training. |
