Karen Merry, MA, LPC, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Karen is the co-founder of North Pointe Counseling Center. She earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University. Karen also holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation, and Certificate in Biblical Counseling.

Karen's compassionate and supportive counseling practice consists of helping individuals, couples, and groups in the areas of: healing the wounds of traumatic/abusive life events, present or past; broad issues of sexuality; intimacy and connection; grief and loss; depression and anxiety; spiritual needs; and those wounded by unhealthy church environments.

With over 30 years of vocational Christian ministry experience in church and parachurch organizations, Karen also brings a unique understanding of the needs facing clergy families and those in Christian leadership. Karen provides holistic, integrated, faith-based counseling, while respecting the unique spiritual needs and experiences of all her clients.

Karen is a member of the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, Christian Association for Psychological Studies, American Counseling Association, and American Association of Christian Counselors. She also serves as part of Mending the Soul Ministries' Clinical Arm, and as a Founder and Board Member of WorshipNet International, a coaching and development ministry for those serving in worship ministries in the U.S. and Abroad.
