Mike Rehm, MA, LAC Licensed Associate Counselor Mike Rehm holds a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University, a Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary and a BA from Arizona State University. In addition to his practice at NPCC, he is a therapist at Calvary Recovery Center, a treatment facility for chemical dependency and problem gambling. Mike also has many years of experience in church ministry and is familiar with the unique circumstances that face church leaders. Mike provides a spiritually integrated approach to counseling and sees clients who are experiencing disruptive life-changes, anxiety, grief, depression, chemical addictions, or compulsive behaviors. He understands the issues confronting individuals desiring recovery from abusive relationships that often result in intimacy and relational difficulty, shame, anger and spiritual disconnection. Clients tell Mike that his counseling style helps them feel understood and safe. His scope of practice includes couples counseling, family relationships, and individuals who feel stuck in old ways of thinking and behaving. He is a trained facilitator for professionally led Mending the Soul small groups: a biblically based, research informed model for renewing hope to those impacted by abuse, trauma and deprivation. Mike says the “satisfaction of my work arises from the privilege of sitting with our clients and being a witness to their growth and progress.” |
